You can link a contactless card (such as a Waltti travel card) to your user account using the Register Card function found in your profile menu in the Freebike app. To connect the card, you must first rent a Mankeli bike. The application provides instructions for connecting the card to your account.

The unique ID of the contactless card is used only to identify the user. The card will not be used for payment in any form.

You can only connect one contactless card at a time. If you connect a new one, it will replace the old one automatically. If for some reason you cannot establish a Bluetooth connection or read the card, use another bike and try registering again. When registering, turn off any other bluetooth device that is connected to your telephone and turn your bluetooth off and then back on before starting to register your card.

In the new Freebike 2.0 app, this feature is temporarily disabled. This feature will be available during Main Cycling season in Lahti from 2022.
